In the early 1980's I left San Francisco and moved to New Mexico, where I worked as a tapestry weaver
at the Kozikowski Studios. Here I learned techniques for natural dyeing and weaving that were utilized in my own handwoven tapestry designs. The weaving technique was a hybrid combining the Rio Grande weaving techniques of the region, with a European style of color blending and rendering of images. After leaving the Kozikowski studios I continued to weave and design my own pieces which were exhibited through galleries in New Mexico, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
